AuGres City Park
Open from mid April to mid October, this park has 109 campsites (daily, weekly and monthly rentals available), a family picnic and day use area complete with playground equipment and a small boat launch with access to Saginaw Bay.

Charity Island – Michigan Island National Wildlife Refuge
Accessible by AuGres Boat Launch or privately-run ferry service. Charity Island is the largest island in the Saginaw Bay (222 acres) offering unique bird watching opportunities.

Huron Shores Heritage Route (Arenac County is one of 6 counties along the route)
A 200 mile scenic tour route that begins in Standish and goes all the way to Mackinaw City. The perfect way to discover the coastal and inland treasures on the Sunrise Side of the State of Michigan.

Lake Huron Boat Launch, Breakwall, and Pier: Lookout Harbor of Refuge
The only designated harbor of refuge between Bay City and East Tawas, this is one of the largest boat access sites (4 ramps) to Lake Huron.

Maple Ridge Historic School House
A fully restored, one-room schoolhouse built in 1904 complete with school artifacts of the period. From US 23, take M-65 to Maple Ridge Rd. and turn left.

Oasis Lake                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Open from late May to early September.  The Park has 25 rustic campsites as well as a large day-use park with 4 pavillions available for rental, picnic tables, volleyball, horseshoes, and a man made lake with a large sandy beach area.  Located between Alger and Sterling.   Call to make reservations.                                                                                                                                                                            30 S. Old Courthouse and Masonic Hall
National Register of Historic Places site built in 1890 as the County Courthouse. Later purchased by the Masons, it is now owned by the Historical Society.

Pt. AuGres County Park (on Lake Huron)
Open from late May to early September, the park has five cabins for rent along with three pavilions and 17 campsites as well as large day-use park with picnic tables and access to 900 feet of sandy beach on Saginaw Bay. Also the trailhead for the Arenac Blue Water Trail. Call to make reservations:

Rifle River (a State designated Scenic River)
One of the State’s fastest rivers and most popular trout and white sucker fishing destinations in the State. Also an outstanding canoeing/kayaking river, there are several private rental operators along its banks.

Saganing Eagle’s Landing Casino
A 32,000 square foot gaming complex with 700 slot machines and 40 gaming tables, year round entertainment and dining. Located just south of Standish.

Singing Bridge Lake Huron Public Access

Standish Historical Depot and Welcome Center
The former Michigan Central Railroad Depot built in 1889. Now the first stop on the Huron Shores Heritage Route, the depot is located in the center of Standish on US 23.
